Hi y’all, kind of a long post, hang with me. I’m pretty new into my skincare journey, for context I’m 25 & keep my routine pretty simple. I’ve been trying to spend money on products that are good for my skin but don’t break the bank. I’ve started to really notice texture on my skin & have fairly large pores, so I’ve been searching for products to help with that. (Any recs would be incredible)
In addition to all of this, I’ve been trying to be better about my spending. Unfortunately, I do fall into over consumption habits and I’m trying to curb the urge to constantly buy more or what’s “trending”. I’m worried I got bamboozled into making a more expensive purchase than I would’ve liked.
So here’s the deal, I went into a Dillards today (LMAO I KNOW OK) & I got sucked into the Clinique section by a 7pc free gift that they are giving away with the purchase of $35. I’ve never bought Clinique products so I’m not sure how good these actually are. It comes with:
-
7 Day Scrub Cream Rinse-Off Formula, 30ml -all About Clean™ Liquid Facial Soap Mild, 30ml -Smart Clinical Repair™ Wrinkle Correcting Serum, 5 ml -Moisture Surge™ 100H Auto-Replenishing Hydrator, 15ml -Clinique Pop™ Longwear Lipstick in Love Pop, 0.13-oz. -Quickliner™ for Eyes in Intense Chocolate Exclusive Cosmetic Bag
I ended up getting persuaded to buy the bigger moisturizer ($90 for 4.2oz), so I also got a free de-aging eye cream, a full-size High Impact High-Fi Full Volume Mascara, and Jumbo Take The Day Off Makeup Remover For Lids, Lashes & Lips, 6.8 oz.
Sorry for the long post. I just am afraid of getting scammed & not getting a good bang for my buck. Are these products worth it? Should I keep them or return them for cheaper alternatives? I did need a new moisturizer, but had no intention of spending almost $100 on one.
Ps- I’ve been interested in getting into Korean skincare, so maybe it’s better to spend on that? I don’t know why I’m so stuck on it, thanks in advance xx
