[Hair Removal] SA pads and CeraVe SA Skin Renewal destroyed my ingrown hairs!

First time poster to SKA, but long time lurker. My whole life I’ve had “bumpy knees” which I’ve tried moisturizing with everything under the sun. I also have struggled with “chicken skin” on my elbows and upper arms. Lurking on SKA, and beginning to epillate my legs, I’ve come to realize my arms have KP and my knees are filled with ingrown hairs.

I have begun dry-brushing my legs and arms, different lotions, scrubs and using various washcloths. I kept seeing to use Stridex pads, but for whatever reason, never believed they’d work. Finally, as summer is approaching, I got really fed up. Walgreen’s didn’t have Stridex pads, and I had a $5 reward there, so I found Noxzema pads with SA. I also picked up a bottle of CeraVe SA Skin Renewal lotion, something I’d also been hemming and hawing about buying, mostly because of the price.

You guys, I’ve been using the pads once a day for 4 days, and the lotion 1-2x a day…Holy crap! the skin over the ingrown hairs practically rubs right off, freeing the hairs. I also epillated for the first time just now, since starting this routine. It was less painful (I think because so much old skin had come off, so the hairs came free more easily.) Also, the hairs almost fell out as I passed over them. It was incredible. I’ve also begun using the lotion on my underarms, I shave there (epillating is too painful there,) but get bad ingrowns there too.

I also have Roseacea on my face, and started 2 days ago using the Noxzema pads on my face. So far, I like it. My face seems clearer and my Roseacea is less red. I also am making sure to sunscreen up, since I love being outside.

You guys are amazing, and knowledgeable! I appreciate every post. You guys have helped me have the smoothest legs on my life and the nicest skin I’ve had yet, thanks! Oh and I’ve been using the lotion on the KP on my arms and elbows, and that has been clearing up as well!

TLDR; Just buy SA pads to get rid of ingrown hairs, also CeraVe SA Skin Renewal lotion is totally worth the money.
