I live in the US so I have been using the La Roche Posay effaclear duo with benzoyl peroxide. oh my god this has helped my skin so much. I have been using this for the past couple of months and didn’t think I would see a difference (because the Differin gel I was using previously did not help with my acne bacteria or hyperpigmentation.) so I decided, just screw it. Let me just use this for a couple months and see if it makes a difference. I completely forgot about tracking my progress, but a friend came up to me today and told me that my face looks much clearer and she sees my acne spots have faded away in my forehead. After comparing pictures of me from months ago and now, I see a complete difference. I also see a huge reduction in pimples I get on the daily. So, I HIGHLY recommend.
Some info for background if you want to make a purchase:
– my problem area is forehead- i got the most acne and most hyperpigmentation there
– i use it once a day at night
– i am not a dermatologist so if you have a derm or any specific skin conditions please speak to them first
– i have sensitive skin and dry skin (and i find that this doesn’t affect me at all, like differin did)
– this one does have benzoyl peroxide, and ive heard the ones without benzyol peroxide don’t work as well, so do your research depending on where you live
– my nighttime skincare routine consists of:
hydrating facial cleanser from cerave,
la roche posay effaclar duo,
good molecules niacinamide serum,
la roche posay double repair moisturizer
ALSO SUNSCREEN HELPS!!! please wear sunscreen in the morning even if the sun isn’t out it has made a difference on my skin
